Warsaw - the capital city of Poland - a city worth seeing with the unforgettable atmosphere of this place.
One of Warsaw characteristic and interesting features is an abundance of contrasts. The reason for this phenomenon results from the fact that antique palaces, churches, buildings and architectonic complexes, monuments in Warsaw, which had suffered a heavy war damage, were meticulously reconstructed and today stand in the vicinity of edifices inspired by modern architecture. Monuments in Warsaw were highly valued by UNESCO. As a consequence, the Old Town of Warsaw was honoured with an entry in the list of the World Cultural Heritage.
The city’s architecture harmonizes with spacious squares, parks and gardens, monuments. Warsaw, as a metropolis pulsing with life, rivals other European cities. Those fortunate who have visited it, will take home unforgettable impressions.
As interesting examples of expositions we can enumerate places like: the only Museum of Posters in the world, Museum of Hunting and Riding and the Railway Museum. From among Warsaw’s 30 museums, the most prestigious ones are National Museum with a wide collection of works whose origin ranges in time from antiquity till the present epoch; the Museum of the Polish Army whose set portrays the history of arms. All of them are renowned and frequently visited by tourists.
The places really worth seeing are:
Royal Route – the most representative thoroughfare in the city, linking the Royal Castle with palaces in Łazienki and Wilanów the next step should be the Old Town.
Belveder Palace- Belvedere- name from It. "beautiful view", erected first half 18th c. in Baroque style. Owned by King Stanislaw August - who started faience works in north outbuilding, then Prince Josef Poniatowski. Remodelled in Neo-Classical style.
Nowy Świat Street and one of fashionable cafés at the Three Crosses Square (Plac Trzech Krzyży).
